Our seven cabins, varying from one to four bedrooms, have been recently updated to include modern comforts. While retaining our rustic charm, we've incorporated modern conveniences. Guests can enjoy plush bedding, fully equipped kitchens, TVs, and Wi-Fi (optional for those who wish to disconnect). All of the cabins have been freshly painted for this season. Most cabins are constructed of full logs, while two feature wood siding. Each cabin is equipped with showers, and we provide bedding and towels. For warmth, all cabins are fitted with gas heaters.

The National forest, spanning thousands of acres around the resort area, offers abundant opportunities for hunting, boating and wildlife observation. The area is home to deer, black bears, bobcats, foxes, fishers, and coyotes. Along the lake's shoreline, one might spot beavers, minks, and otters as they swim and frolic, alongside blue herons that stand statue-like. The lake also hosts a pair of nesting loons, while bald eagles and hawks are often seen gliding above.
Norse Wood Resort nestles on the shores of Fishtrap Lake, encompassing 263 acres with a maximum depth of 12 feet. The lake is fed by Fishtrap Creek from the north and drains through a small dam within the resort. A public boat landing can be found in the resort's bay. On the southern shore, you'll discover The Cove pub, a gift shop, and several cabins, while the remainder of the outlying area is preserved in its wild and natural state, offering an ideal location for fishing and hunting throughout the year.
Angle for Musky, Walleye, Crappie, Northern Pike, Perch, Largemouth Bass, and Bluegill at this serene fishing lake—the perfect spot for anglers seeking tranquility. Resort guests have access to dock space for those who bring their own vessel, and each cabin rental also includes a rowboat for use during your stay.
Be sure to check out our gallery for fish caught on the lake this year!
